I am a medical school student who really enjoys baking and cooking. I originally started this blog as a food diary, but it has slowly become a place where I try to share my interest for creating and photographing food. Most of the photos in this blog (aside from a few at the beginning) were shot by me using my trusty but ancient Nikon Coolpix 3200 point and shoot. I upgraded recently to a Canon A720 camera and it's been wonderful because of the image stabilization so I can take nice pictures even in lower lighting. Maybe when I finally make some money in the future I'll be able to afford a nice DSLR :)

I grew up with lots of Chinese cuisine, so you will see a great deal of authentic cooking that I have learned in my household. I am also a student, so there aren't a lot of elaborate and fancy dishes with expensive ingredients, although you will see that many dishes are easier than they look, and quite affordable :)

But by far, my passion lies in baking (I particularly adore French pastries and desserts), and my dream is to one day have my own mom and pop bakery to share my creations with others. I have only begun to scratch the surface of the baking world, and I am always looking for inspiration to trying new and interesting recipes. Hopefully my blog will entice you to try something new as well! Enjoy!
